China’s New Energy Vehicles Going Global: Trends, Challenges and Opportunities

Locke and Rousseau, as the main force of the Enlightenment period, emphasized reason, freedom and equality throughout their thinking. Regarding the philosophy of education, the two respectively put forward the idea of liberal education. Locke carried out moral education in order to cultivate "gentlemen", and Rousseau advocated that children should grow up in nature and cultivate "natural people". The two approaches moral education from different perspectives, which provide an effective model for moral education in later generations.

Reason and Nature: Similarities and Differences in Locke's and Rousseau's Ideas on Moral Education

Gender issues constructed in school textbooks are seen as crucial in the field of English 
language teaching and learning. Existing studies in western countries have been examined 
substantially while a small number of researchers conduct to make investigations on gender 
stereotypes of EFL textbooks in mainland China. Textbooks have its own important impact on learners 
as they are underlying means to disseminate language knowledge and values to learners. Previous 
studies indicate textbooks influence values and beliefs of students, but textbooks with stereotyped 
representations would have an adverse impact on students’ cognition (Cocoradă, 2018). Gender bias 
embedded in textbooks might have adverse influence on learners’ perception of the society, 
motivation to study and career choices in the future. Thus it is instantly crucial to explore 
whether gender bias still exist in textbooks, ways to enhance students’ gender equitable perception 
and the potentiality of designing a textbook with thorough gender equality.
This study selected three textbooks ranging from grade 7 to 9 (volume 2), published by People's 
Education Press since it is commonly used by EFL students in mainland China. It attempts to analyze 
gender representations in the textbook by using content analysis, linguistic analysis and visual 
analysis.
And the study results find that gender bias still persist in the textbook such as the occurrence 
percentage of men and women is unbalanced with the weakening of women’s roles and acts. Roles of 
women are not only confined to roles the family endowed to, but also the society endowed to. 
Despite some efforts might be previously made to minimize the use of gender biased language, they 
are still recurrent. Therefore the purpose of study results attempt to enable people realize the 
prevalence of gender stereotypes in textbooks and discuss the possibility of compiling gender-fair 
textbooks. In the end, pedagogical implications and methods are provided for EFL teachers to reduce 
biased gender portrayals in the context of classrooms.

Why Gender Matters in Language Teaching : Exploring Gender Representations in EFL Textbooks of Middle Schools in Mainland China

Based on a novel digital curriculum system, this study focuses on the virtual education platform—Roblox Education, selecting 100 STEM-themed course game samples. Employing a mixed-method approach that integrates quantitative and qualitative analyses, this research utilizes NVivo 12 Plus to encode and analyze multimodal metaphor scenarios and their types in Roblox Education. We particularly focus on their construction methods and cognitive foundations and conduct specific case analyses of the two most prevalent metaphorical scenarios. This study aims to provide insights into the design of metaphor scenarios in virtual education platforms and promote multimodal integration and innovative learning approaches in Metaversebased education.

Metaverse Education: A Study on Multimodal  Metaphor Scenarios in Roblox Education

The strategic relevance of the Laos-China Railway (LCR) in the framework of China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and its main objective of a Community of Shared Future for Mankind is examined in this article. Positioned at the nexus of China’s aspirations for regional connectivity and Laos’ aim to become a land-linked nation, the LCR both reflects a necessary infrastructure development and a symbol of deepening bilateral ties. Through a variety of  analytical lenses, the paper focuses on the railway’s political impact on geopolitics and Laos’ regional role, alongside its socio-economic impacts to growth and sustainable development. Using the LCR as a focal case, the paper contributes to the continuous discussions on regional connectivity and integration. In this context, the railway also serves as a testament to China’s approach to strengthening strategic trust, enhancing regional cooperation, and integrating partner countries into its broader vision of shared regional prosperity under the CSFM framework.

This paper explores the combination of artificial intelligence and diverse English cultures, and explores language communication and cultural collision in different cultural backgrounds. In the context of globalization, the integration and conflict of diverse cultures have become an undeniable reality. Artificial intelligence technology provides new possibilities for cultural communication and exchange, but also brings new challenges and problems. This article analyzes the application of artificial intelligence in diverse English cultures from the perspective of cultural context, and explores the influence of cultural background on language communication. Interpreting the Unification of Ancient Egypt through the  Symbolism of the Red, White, and Double Crowns

Based on the concept of multi-stakeholder co-governance, this study discusses the issues of grassroots governance in rural China. Taking the towns and villages of Yunan County in Guangdong Province as an example, through on-site visits and investigations, various problems existing in the governance of remote rural areas in the eastern, western and northern parts of Guangdong are sorted out, such as low cooperation of villagers, weak awareness of environmental protection, insufficient vitality of rural economic organizations, and lack of leading agricultural enterprises. On this basis, the study puts forward optimization strategies such as increasing financial support, giving play to the synergy of the government, banks, enterprises and villages, developing ecological resources, and deepening the reform of the personnel system.

An Investigation into Grassroots Governance in China Based on  the Concept of Multi-stakeholder Co-governance——A Case Study of Yunan County, Guangdong Province

Drawing on Lasswell’s 5W communication model, this study conducts a systematic analysis of green information communication mechanisms in contemporary China. The findings indicate that in terms of communicators, green communication has shifted from being dominated by government and mainstream media to a more collaborative, multi-actor framework. In terms of content, it has expanded from a “problem-oriented” focus to encompass value guidance and the promotion of sustainable lifestyles. Regarding communication channels, traditional media and digital platforms now operate in parallel, with social media and short-video platforms emerging as key arenas. At the audience level, the public has gradually transformed from passive recipients into active participants and co-creators. In terms of effects, green communication not only enhances public awareness of environmental risks and recognition of ecological values but also promotes practical behaviors such as low-carbon travel, waste sorting, and green consumption. Overall, the study demonstrates that in the digital era, green communication is characterized by interactivity and practice orientation, playing a vital role in advancing ecological civilization and sustainable development.

Green Information Communication in Contemporary China: A 5W Model Perspective

The article examines the doctrine of individual criminal responsibility in international criminal law, assessing its analytical appropriateness for explaining the causes of war crimes. The study finds that there are four prevailing modes of individual criminal responsibility, including direct perpetration, co-perpetration, indirect perpetration, and instigation or aiding and abetting. While effectively safeguarding justice in the international community, they tend to overlook the structural, institutional, and ideological factors underlying war crimes. To address this gap, the article introduces three analytical dimensions: structural awareness, causal depth, and narrative completeness. The analysis shows that the current individual-responsibility-centric framework is unable to fully reveal the influence of institutions, systems, or contexts in shaping atrocities, and in determining causation, subjective judgements and judicial constraints often lead to erroneous or overly simplified linkages, thereby weakening the capacity of international criminal law to advance justice, promote education, and foster reflection. It leads to the conclusion that individual-responsibility-centrism cannot construct a coherent and comprehensive understanding of mass violence. Accordingly, the article proposes a reform pathway grounded in individual criminal responsibility, integrated with multidisciplinary perspectives and an emphasis on universal justice, with the aim of promoting justice in the international community.

Attribution without Explanation: Reassessing the Analytical Appropriateness of Individual Responsibility for Understanding War Crimes

The classical SIR model has been modified by analogizing the spread of diseases to the transmission of information, and the Student Learning Behavior (SLB) model has been developed. This study emphasizes the significant impact of students’ learning behavior and motivation. It also highlights the critical role of motivation by examining the effect of students’ learning behaviors on academic achievement. By adapting the SIR epidemiological model to learning processes, the study aims to investigate the transmission of knowledge among students, interaction dynamics, and motivational factors. Using the characteristics of the SIR model, it demonstrates how the spread of learning can be mathematically represented. The influence of motivation on students’ learning processes is discussed. The study and its findings provide an important and distinct framework for researchers who examine the dynamic nature of learning processes from both conceptual and quantitative perspectives.

Simulation of Learning Processes with the SIR Model: Interaction and Motivation

Against the backdrop of the joint cultivation of undergraduates by universities in Foshan and Macao, in view of the problems in the curriculum ideological and political education (CIPE) of the Recreation and Leisure Management course, and guided by the OBE concept, this article determines the ideological and political learning outcomes through reverse design, integrates ideological and political elements into course modules, innovates practical teaching strategies, reconstructs the outcome evaluation system, and carries out the CIPE reform of the course. As verified by the practice of the 2024 joint training class with 37 students divided into 5 mixed practical training groups, the educational effect has been significantly improved, which can provide a reference for the CIPE development of similar courses.

Exploration on Curriculum Ideological and Political Education Reform of Recreation and Leisure Management for Undergraduate Joint Training Program under the OBE Concept

This paper aims to clarify the real institutional attribute of the Wudang Guard, reveal the integration mechanism between military survey techniques of the Ming Dynasty and Taoist geographical and environmental fengshui craftsmanship of Wudang, and reconstruct the collaborative operation mode of imperial mountain construction. Based on first‑hand historical materials such as Veritable Records of the Ming Dynasty, Taiyue Taihe Mountain Gazetteer and stone inscriptions, it examines the institutional origin, power responsibility boundary of the Wudang Guard, sorts out its engineering practices in mountain site survey, Taoist temple site selection and water system regulation, and traces the inheritance chain of the craftsmanship from the Ming Dynasty to contemporary times. The Wudang Guard was not a statutorily independent military unit, but a supporting garrison force detached from the Junzhou Defense Battalion and stationed in Wudang Mountain. It formed a three‑in‑one mountain construction paradigm of “Taoist pattern judgment field survey by garrison troops‑project implementation”. Refined over the Ming and Qing dynasties and sustained by Xu Benshan in the Republican era, this craftsmanship has been fully restored and passed on by the contemporary core inheritor Liu Kaifu, with Yan Tianrong and Yin Tianfu among his successors. The practical survey methods introduced by the Wudang Guard make up for the deficiency of traditional fengshui which overemphasizes theoretical deduction. This composite mountain construction craftsmanship possesses important historical documentary and living cultural research value.

A Study on the Establishment of Wudang Guard and Its Context of Geographical and Environmental Fengshui Survey

This article examines how social media influencers reshape the circulation of public opinion and how this process contributes to the persuasive power of influencer marketing. Drawing on opinion leadership theory, source credibility theory, parasocial interaction, electronic word-of-mouth, and recent influencer marketing research, the article develops a process-based framework for influencer-mediated communication. It argues that influencers do more than deliver commercial messages. They select, interpret, contextualize, and personalize information before presenting it to audiences, thereby making promotional content easier to evaluate within everyday social relationships. Three connected processes are identified: selective interpretation, relational persuasion, and networked amplification. Expertise and trustworthiness create an initial basis for acceptance, while similarity, authenticity, and parasocial connection strengthen the perceived social meaning of recommendations. Platform affordances and algorithmic visibility can then extend a message beyond the original follower group. The article concludes that influencer effectiveness depends less on audience size alone than on the fit among communicator credibility, message value, audience relationships, and platform conditions, and it proposes directions for future research.
