Abstract

This paper examines the trends, challenges, and opportunities associated with China’s new energy vehicles (NEVs) going global. Drawing from a range of literature, the study analyzes the global expansion of Chinese NEV companies, the carbon barriers and opportunities they face, and the strategies they employ to navigate the European market. The study also explores the role of the “Belt and Road Initiative” in facilitating the globalization of Chinese NEVs and the importance of industry-academia collaboration in nurturing talent for the NEV sector. Overall, the study offers valuable insights into the dynamics of China’s NEVs going global and the implications for the global automotive industry.
