A Comprehensive Review of Blockchain Security Threats and Protective Technologies

Abstract

With the rapid development of blockchain technology, security issues have become a focal point of concern. This review paper systematically examines the existing body of research on security threats in blockchain systems and the protective measures implemented to counteract them. It delves into the vulnerabilities inherent in blockchain technology, such as the 51% attack, smart contract flaws, and privacy leakage. Moreover, the paper explores various protective technologies, including cryptographic techniques, consensus mechanisms, and privacy protection methods. The review also highlights the importance of proactive defense strategies and the role of regulation in enhancing blockchain security. By summarizing the state-of-the-art research and identifying future research directions, this review aims to provide valuable insights for scholars and practitioners in the field of blockchain security.
