"Xin Qiji: Beyond the Twilight? - A Reexamination of His Poetry and Its Significance"

Abstract

This paper conducts an in-depth exploration of the theme "Xin Qiji: Beyond the Twilight? - A Reexamination of His Poetry and Its Significance." Firstly, it introduces the historical background of Xin Qiji, including the political turmoil and social changes during the Southern Song Dynasty. Then, it analyzes Xin Qiji's poetry from three aspects. Firstly, it expounds the ideological connotations of his poetry, including strong patriotism and loyalty, criticism of social injustice, and profound philosophical reflections. Secondly, it discusses his creative mentality in poetry, such as bold innovation, integration of different genres, and emotional expression. Thirdly, it analyzes the language characteristics of his poetry, including rich vocabulary, skillful use of metaphor and symbolism, and attention to rhythm and rhyme. Finally, it discusses the significance of Xin Qiji's poetry, including its contribution to Chinese literature, reflection of social and historical context, and universal themes and values.
